Install Cracked Jailbreak Apps Guide

Install Cracked Jailbreak Apps
Yes, that’s right, jailbreak your iPhone and get almost any app free. Cydia offers tons of jailbreak apps but most of the good ones are not free. Unfortunately there’s not an awesome jailbreak app like Installous to do all the work for you. These jailbreak apps are fairly simple to find and install. This guide covers how to find and install cracked jailbreak apps.

    Make sure you have these:

  1. OpenSSH installed on your iPhone
  2. WinSCP installed on your PC

First you will need to find the cracked jailbreak app you’re looking for. You can find mostly anything on the xSellize and SiNful iPhone forums. You will need to register an account with them, VIP membership is NOT necessary. On the xSellize forum you can find the cracked jailbreak apps under Goodies -> iTouch/iPhone Software 3.x. Most of these cracked jailbreak apps are packaged in a .deb file extension. Make sure you download one that is a .deb for this guide. Some of the apps require folder // file modifying with specific instructions.

Once you’ve found and downloaded your cracked jailbreak app in .deb format you will need to install it.
Heres how…

  1. Connect to your iPhone using OpenSSH – OpenSSH Guide
  2. After you’ve connected transfer the .deb file to your iPhone’s tmp directory
  3. Jailbreak App Copy

  4. Once the copy is complete click the “terminal” button in WinSCP
  5. Jailbreak Terminal

When the confirm message comes up click “Ok” and when prompted enter your SSH password again.

  6. The console window will appear, in the command box type the following command
  7. dpkg -i DEB FILE NAME for my example I used the file irealsms3_sg1.deb to install this I typed dpkg -i irealsms3_sg1.deb

    Jailbreak Console

  8. the console window will show the status of the installation, this shouldn’t take long.
  9. Installed Jailbreak App

  10. If you didn’t receive any error messages, respring or reboot your iPhone
  11. Congrats you’ve just installed a cracked cydia app.

Troubleshooting:

  • If you receive an error message read the details and…
    • If it reads “No such file or directory” you’ve typed the file name incorrectly
    • OR

    • you didn’t open the terminal while inside the right directory – check and make sure the current directory in the console window displays “/private/var/tmp”.
  • If it reads “status database area is locked by another process” Close Cydia or any other installer on your iPhone.
  • If you’re having trouble opening terminal in WinSCP check your login settings and make sure “SFTP” is selected for file protocol.

If Cydia shows an update for a cracked app do not update, you will lose the cracked app. Instead search for the updated cracked app, uninstall the old one through cydia -> manage -> packages and install the new one.
